The pedagogy’s fundamental characteristic that we use is the one to regain the wisdom of the Andean educational projects and to use modern pedagogic methods, for instance the Waldorf’s one, used in various schools. The pursuit for truthfulness, love, respect and freedom, is linked to the attention given to the complete development of the child while looking carefully at his physical, animist and spiritual qualities and also at his ability to form a creative thought.

The “DE LA VIDA Y DE LA PAZ” school was built in Pachacutec village, in the outskirts of Arequipa, in Peru’. This school is the first Mamani’s Foundation’s piece of work as a tangible result, that follows the love’s educational principles for life and peace. This educational center represents the first step towards the realization of a wider project which is the one to build the UNIVESITY OF LIFE AND PEACE, an educational institution built in addition to the actual one, and it will be able to integrate science and technology with spirituality. “In ancient times, in Peru’, there was some kind of females’ university, the AKLLAWASI. The Western university has a male’s imprint and is based on a outer world’s vision that neglects the inner world therefore the spirit.

The project has already started!. In the 2001 six teachers were trained and the first building was constructed in order to host children of the nursery and elementary school. On June 2003, the second building was constructed in order to host children from day nursery to the end of the three classes of junior secondary school. At the completion of the project eight classes will be available along with labs, toilets, a sickbay and a library. Mamani’s foundation also gives out scholarships in order to let poor children go to school freely, or by paying a symbolic ridiculous amount, paid when the family is able to do so, which covers only 13 % of the expenses. The final project will be the creation of a Secondary School and at the very end the construction of a proper University.

- Do something with tangible results to build a world based on great values like Peace, Love, Truth, Respect and Freedom.

- Take part of the realization of the University of Life and Peace on our planet.
