Today, in our culture, the male’s character excels, with all his individual, dominant, materialistic and consumerist characteristics that take human beings towards their destruction. In order to change those behaviors, it is important to know the life of Mamakuna, wise women, who, in the ancient Incas’ population, created a good relationship between women and men. In the Andean culture, female’s knowledge and conscience were created during the centuries. The Andeans recognized the female’s importance since ancient times and on traditional legends of the Andean’s religion, that have always been passed on by the word of mouth, which told that women where the first creatures to appear on the earth. In the ancient Inca empire, they had a very high level of educational institution that would teach women: Ajllawasi, the school of knowledge, led by wise women: Mamakuna. Mamakunas were an active, noble and creative part of the Inca society, where women were financially independent , they were sexually free, they would practice medicine and agriculture, they also would mold crockery and various religious objects, they worked in the fields, get married and have children. Over the centuries, they developed a culture that would respect and value the female’s world. The male’s principle has a complementary role to the female’s one, where the female and the male complete each other despite their absolute differences. We are not talking about parity or disparity of sexes but of totally different roles, whereby the feminine gender is a pulling force for men: creates and procreates ideas and passions. Men take and make it theirs, the developing pull of humanity that is created by women. We have to rediscover and use those powers that nature has donated to women and it will be only this way that we will be able to create a society on a perfect balance of love, brotherhood and harmony with Mother Earth.
